The CHIPS for America Act – Opportunities for the U.S. Microelectronics Innovation Ecosystem

2:05 pm - 2:30 pm

The Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors for America Act, or the CHIPS for America Act, authorized a number of federal investments and incentives to support U.S. semiconductor manufacturing, R&D, and supply chain security.   The Senate passed funding for these activities via the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act, including substantial funding to improve both production and R&D. This presentation will present the current state of the CHIPS Act, the role of NIST and the Department of Commerce, and R&D opportunities for the entire U.S. microelectronics innovation ecosystem.
