A golden era for semiconductors has begun. We are witnessing an unprecedented amount of data generated that needs to be processed, transferred, stored and turned into information for both humans and machines to use. This data wave is driving today’s rapid capacity expansion, tighter quality requirements, faster business cycles, and a heightened focus on the industry’s ESG footprint. At the same time, we see an accelerating trend of previously discrete technologies converging to magnify their individual capabilities, enable disruptive products, advance adjacent industries and create new ones - the Metaverse being one of the latest examples.
