Sensing the Body in Motion with Liquid Wire Fluid Circuitry

2:05 pm - 2:30 pm

Real time monitoring of the human body has been constrained by electronic form factors, which limit devices to discreet boxes that must be placed on peripheral locations, such as the wrist or sternum. Using novel metal gel alloys bonded to highly elastic laminates, Liquid Wire provides a robust platform that is able to move with the articulations, strains, and jiggles of the human body. Able to host the same surface mount components and integrated circuits as are used in traditional flex PCB manufacture, Liquid Wire wearable platforms provide a suite of sensors applicable to medical wearables, including but not limited to monitoring strain, pressure, EMG, ECG, and acoustic arrays for monitoring joint crepitus and blood flow anomalies.
