Michael Miller, PhD

Michael is a Senior Member of Technical Staff, and is based in San Jose, Ca. He joined EMD Electronics as a part of the acquisition of Intermolecular in September 2019 and, for over a year, has been program manager for two programs that are developing different semiconducting 2D Materials. Michael joined Intermolecular in 2007 working on RRAM technology and has proceeded to work on various DRAM dielectrics and stacks, HEA screening, superconductors, perovskites, Li Solid state batteries, and 2D Materials among other research areas. Prior to joining Intermolecular, Michael worked for 2 years on Li Solid State Batteries at Symmorphix, and for 6 years on PVD Cu Barrier/Seed process and product development at Applied Materials.

Michael received a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Physics from the California Institute of Technology located in Pasadena, CA, and his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine. Michael is named as inventor/coinventor on more than 29 patents.
