Ruth Umoh

Ruth Umoh is the Editor-in-Chief of The Filament, the definitive news source for DEI leaders in tech. A veteran business journalist, she previously served as Forbes’ D&I Editor and was a CNBC reporter covering leadership strategy, corporate management, and equity issues prior. She’s a graduate of the University of Maryland and received a master’s degree from Columbia University's Journalism School. Umoh was one of ten full scholarship awardees for MIT Sloan's 2018 Digital Leadership seminar. In 2021, she was named one of the top 15 journalists who hold companies accountable for diversity efforts.
