Clarity is here: Sustainability in our industry is the path to health and growth. SEMICON West 2023 is set to explore the multiverse of initiatives needed for a net zero industry by 2040.
It Starts With You
A tribe of individuals committed to sustainability within their organizations and community is going to be mandatory to reach the substantial goal of net zero. While spending time at SEMICON West, we encourage all participants to enter into a sustainable mindset.
Take the Sustainability Pledge
During registration, all attendees will have the opportunity to view and agree to SEMICON West Sustainability Pledge. Not only is this designed to lower the impacts of the event, but also allow attendees to explore what types of changes they may need to consider in their daily business lives.
One Tree Planted for Each Pledge
Help reach the goal of 3,000 trees planted in the SEMICON West Forest. For each attendee that takes the pledge, one tree will be planted via the team at Ecologi.

Plan for a Sustainable SEMICON West
SEMI is taking multiple steps to decrease the impact of the event including work with exhibitors, vendors and local organizations.
Transportation
- Travel with BART from many Bay Area destinations to include ground transfers from SFO and OAK Airports
- Use the brand-new MUNI Station that drops off at the Moscone Center with access from Chinatown, Union Square and the CalTrain Station
- Traveling in by car? Work with team members with your company and carpool
While at the Moscone Center
- Bring your own reusable water bottle to enjoy the high-quality San Francisco drinking water which is sourced from Yosemite
- Plan to use the Mobile App for event information. Printed offerings will be at a minimum
- Look for the recycling and composting stations available around the Moscone Center. Make sure to recycle your badge in the bins when you depart the event
While in San Francisco
- Consider dining options that source their products locally
- Reduce energy consumption in your hotel: Turn off lights, unplug electronics, and adjust the thermostat when leaving the room
- Conserve water in your hotel
- Reuse towels and linens
